Kiki Delaney is the President of C.A. Delaney Capital Management Ltd., an investment counselling firm. Formed in August 1992 by Mrs. Delaney, the firm provides independent investment management services to institutional and private clients.
Prior to forming Delaney Capital, Kiki was a Partner and Executive Vice President of Gluskin Sheff & Associates, where she managed both private client and pension fund assets.
Kiki began her career in the investment management business in 1972 when she joined Guardian Capital Investment Counsel as an Investment Analyst. In the following 13 years, she assumed increasing responsibility for the management of both Canadian mutual funds and pension funds. At the time of her departure from Guardian Capital Group, she was Executive Vice President and Director, holding both executive and portfolio management responsibilities.
Kiki was born and raised in Winnipeg and graduated in 1969 from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1977, she became a Chartered Financial Analyst, and is a former Director of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts. Kiki is involved in many charitable endeavours. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Arts Centre Foundation, the Board of Trustees of the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto, and the Board of Directors of the Institute for Research on Public Policy. In addition, Kiki chairs the Investment Committees of the Institute for Research on Public Policy and the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto.
On October 5, 2006, Governor General Michaëlle Jean appointed Kiki a Member of the Order of Canada.
